October already! Wow! It’s going to be Christmas and 2013 before we know it! We have lucked out with incredibly gorgeous weather. The trees are starting to turn to golden hues with accents of red, green and brown. The leaves are floating gracefully from the trees. The sunsets have been bright and magical. Saturday’s harvest moon was bold, bright and beautiful. Fall is such a beautiful time of year. Of course I love the happy, warm, carefree days of summer. I really don’t like being cold, but I find beauty and calm in the changes.
Tame The Beast Aromas has had some changes over the past few weeks! It got a home! In picturesque Port Gamble, WA. I am now set up in the Scale Shack across from Quilted Straight, just under the big hill. I have the complete product line for people and pets, which has grown to about 48 items! I also have one-of-a- kind Haisly Paisly necklaces, Original Hand Carved pieces by Gary Campbell, Diffusers, Nature’s Sunshine Vitamins etc., Crocheted hats complete with beards, Angel Cards and more items on the way! It is all very exciting! I have packed a lot of fun in a tiny place and there is more on its way!
The aroma bar is open! You are welcome to check out all of the essential oils, have a free consultation, create custom blends just because you like certain aromas or for specific purposes. I have had so much fun creating blends for people and pets and meeting so many fabulous people. Being out of the home and doing what I love brings a whole new dynamic that makes me beyond happy. I couldn’t feel more blessed or be more grateful.
Tame The Beast Aromas is starting a new recycling program for all products! If you have a favorite and you want more of it bring your bottle for a refill, a new label if necessary and save $1. What if you live out of town? Mail your bottles back for a refill and spiffing up and you will get free shipping on your returned bottles.
This weekend was the Animal Krackers event for the Kitsap Humane Society. I hope our gift basket helped bring in some good money. Their video on YouTube for the event was absolutely precious. If you can do anything to help all of the animals, don’t hesitate! There seems to be such a stigma with the Humane Society and they are there to HELP pets. If you find a lost pet don’t feel like something bad is going to happen if you take it there. That is the safest place you can take it. It’s most likely the first place a pet owner will call. I helped spread the word this weekend about a Golden Retriever that went missing and learned quite a bit from it. Luckily he made his way back to his owner. There are quite a few missing dogs and cats right now. If you find one, call the Humane Society or check out www.kitsaplospets.org. If you want a pet there are plenty that need a good home.
Next weekend is the Kathleen Sutton Breast Cancer Auction in Port Gamble. I hear it is one of the most fun fundraisers around. No doubt the cause is a great one! They provide transportation to and from Doctor’s appointments for female cancer patients. I have donated a large gift basket to this cause as well. I lost my soul sister, best friend, one of the most amazing women in many people’s lives because of breast cancer. It’s near and dear. If you can’t make the event you can always make a donation of any size. You can read all about the Kathleen Sutton Inspiration Fund at www.kathleensutton.org.
So much to share, but I am thinking this was quite a bit! Come see me at the new location! I am there Thursday – Sunday 10am – 5 pm.
Love and Light!
